In the Justices' per curiam opinion, they noted that, "The right to vote is protected by more than the initial allocation of the franchise. Equal protection applies as well to the manner of its exercise. Having once granted the right to vote on equal terms, the State may not, by later arbitrary and disparate treatment, value one person's vote over that of another." no it was about equal protection under the law, all the ballots weren't treated equally. How come the dems didn't want to count the military vote ? The dems don't want to count ever vote, only their votes. get real
