Great post, but you're probably going to hear it from the "neo-isolationists" who argue that we can't afford to be Globocop.

Seems like every problem these days is deemed "not my problem" until it becomes way too big to ignore. Mainstream media ridiculed Bush when he talked of mushroom clouds and WWIII, but how many people would tolerate a nuclear power plant if the chances for meltdown in the next 50 years was 1%?
