Note where Correa is speaking from yesterday - Zaruma, where Dynasty is building right now, set to produce within this quarter ... they're the first mine startup in the country, capex is largely spent, not only on exploration but on full construction

It would be very bad for business to screw them around overmuch ... certainly there will be royalties, maybe a carried interest for the state 'mining company', strict enviro regs no doubt, however in the dmm.to case they'll be setting an example for others, who have yet to bring near the amount of capital into the country, on a per-unit-of-resource basis ... r-e posted a link that says Aurelian will be made a 'cookie-cutter', well that may be true in some ways, but Dynasty even more so, and in the here and now - they come to production well within the six months, decisions have to be made there toot sweet

Having the stocks tank so severely on word of the mandate was a good move, billions of capital 'wiped out' in hours, should serve to point up the importance of these matters, realisation comes that yes, they can kill the golden goose ... will they? - i dunno, depends on who actually has the power there, ultimately, and exactly how freakin stupid they turn out to be ... probably Correa, and not that stupid, imho
