"dumps" is derogatory but it looks like NW needs the money. NW has about $600 million of net assets and the burn rate last year was -$320 million. Assuming those kinds of losses annually going forward, a billion from a spectrum sale, would give them $1.6 billion or a life of 5-6 more years. A spectrum sale that yields $500 million would give them only $1.1 billion or a life of another 3 years. I wonder how far advanced product development is at NextWave? HF
