knighty, are you aware of any recount in florida that had al gore ahead? i was under the impression votes were recounted and bush still won. i lost all respect for gore's team when they only wanted to count one or two democratic counties... talk about the pot calling the kettle black. ultimately, it was clinton's fault for putting bush in office - he picked al gore because he didn't want to pick a guy who would take a lot of attention from himself. it worked for 8 years, but al lacked the personality to win on his own, in spite of the road being paved with gold. if clinton's vp had any kind of personality, he would have won easily.
