Sorry to dwell on Ecuadors mining issues but I just found out from someone who knows Correa well that he is an enemy of Chavez contrary to public opinion.

"For Corera to survive is very difficult.He is up against the old Establisment that has been ruling since the Spanish Takeover.A very difficult challenge.The Man is very trustworhty as I have been told by a Frind of mine who worked under Corera for one Year.He is a Enemy of Chaves and has no personal Ties to Chaves.He is not afterPower to fed his Ego.He is not corupt as many here asume.He is in it for the betterment of his Country and not to line his Pockets.He is an Economist to boot,so relax"
