Is it the man's duty to provide for his wife? Certainly not.

However, if your culture is advanced enough that women have jobs that pay them enough money to support themselves, and the legal system gives them the right to custody of their children, and the legal system gives them the right to child support, then divorces will happen.

Are women better off shackled to a bad man in a bad marriage? I think not, and empirical evidence says I am right. Women vote with their feet.

In this country, they vote en masse. By far more women file for divorce than men.

Anyway I am married to an American man for almost 28 years, and I think American men make the world's best husbands. I pity my sisters around the world, they don't know what they're missing.

Any man can treat his woman right, but so few of them realize it's important. They treat women like servants, they treat women like cattle, they treat women like objects.

Sad, really. And don't even get me started on how they treat their children.
