Hi llaine,
<<Is it the man's duty to provide for his wife? Certainly not. >>

I'd say depends on the agreements made. If a couple want children and the man agrees to support and provide for the woman so that she can stay home and raise the children, then it is his duty to do so.

<<However, if your culture is advanced enough that women have jobs that pay them enough money to support themselves, and the legal system gives them the right to custody of their children, and the legal system gives them the right to child support, then divorces will happen.>>

So women choose divorce because they are better off? I'd hardly call that culture advanced.

<<By far more women file for divorce than men.>>

Exactly!

<<Any man can treat his woman right, but so few of them realize it's important. They treat women like servants, they treat women like cattle, they treat women like objects.>>

I am sure there are all kinds of relationships good and bad ones. I personally don't know any marriages where the men treat their woman like servants, cattle or objects.
How would you describe the 'treat his woman right" I mean exactly?
