Look, harris, along with Rush, has been trying to sell the idea that the 1968 Democratic riot was a race riot. Despite the fact that history doesn't record it that way. And JF, who actually was there, unlike harris or Rush, doesn't remember it that way. Ok, granted, Bobby Seales was there. But, how many actual black people were?

I certainly don't think it was a race riot in the sense of the Watts or 12th Street riots or any of the riots after MLK's assassination. But I think you would agree there was at least a significant racial element or overtone in '68.

Unfortunately, the party (under management of Howard Dean) has established rules that could lead us to something of a calamity. We would all like to think that Obama's candidacy is not not unduly influenced by race, but isn't that a naive belief?

Blood is thicker than water.

If Obama wins the popular vote, yet Hillary is given the nomination, there are going to be some pissed off blacks. And only a small percentage of them have to react violently to create some fairly huge problems.

I'm not saying it will happen -- while I am enjoying the infighting amongst Dems today, I think when it turns violent, it ceases to be entertaining and starts to resemble some times in this country that most of us don't want to see return. But I do think it could happen. Maybe only a 5% or 10% chance of it, but it could happen.

Clearly, before the next election, the Democrat party will fix the process so this doesn't happen again. It is really a bad situation.

Even if there is no violence, it will be interesting to see if the Supreme Court is called upon to decide who the Dem's nominee is.
