One rather major political issue is directly related to making money specifically in energy stocks.

Here in North Carolina, ads are running pretty constantly by either Clinton or Obama. And one CONSTANT theme is that they will specifically tax energy companies for their "excessive" profits.

I'm not going to make a value judgment here, that just starts another political argument, something we want to avoid on this thread. But if either Democratic candidate is elected president, it WILL negatively affect energy stocks, particularly E&Ps. And as we get closer to November, these stocks will trade based upon the chances of these candidates getting elected.
