I see how that works yes, I guess I'll have to watch the momentum after the reverse...
perhaps you all wont mind if I toss this out for your comments and insight albeit Off Topic.
In my trading career there has been definite emerging industry activity in the tech sector that has propelled the market higher and made many who were alert and aware, wealthy... the more recent being the CD, the PC, cell phone technology, the internet .com's... VOD should be grouped there but seems to have fallen way short as far as a booming industry... of course, consumer electronics have always led the way and propelled the market higher as well as adding to the GNP etc...stuff like color TV's, moving into portable stereos, walkmans, etc...
Whats next? My gut feeling is this HUGE hunk of Bandwith that the FCC is freeing up will be utilized in some form and be the VERY NEXT tech item that has the potential to move markets and create lifestyle changes. The FCC has had a plan to phase out analog broadcast bandwith for over 10 yrs with the inception of HD TV. You all know the deadline is Feb 2009.
Problem is, I have no idea what they are going to use this bandwith for? I understand that AT$T has been snapping up huge chunks of this bandwith... does anyone know what this freed-up bandwith is going to be used for? Improved communications? Another entertainment aspect we've never heard of? It is clearly going to be used for something big and it only make sense that it's a new frontier so to speak. Can anyone enlighten me?
Mr Tang, if you should respond, and I hope you do as I find your knowledge interesting... could you please be direct and specfic? Im not the most tech oriented guy but some times your points fail to zero-in on a tangible answer (for me at least, perhaps others have no trouble at all!)But I'd like to know if anyone has any specific knowledge or can point me in the correct direction. Thanks ROCK |
