What is never discussed is how our system is geared toward the accumulation of great wealth into the hands of a very small part of the population. Our system isn't geared towards making it relatively easy for most people to become financially secure. It could be made so but it isn't.

The new bankruptcy law, the lack of limits on interest rates, the cap on SS contributions, the capital gains tax rate, etc. all go to encouraging and maintaining the unequal distribution of wealth. Too many people think this is a free market system when, it is in fact, skewed and corrupt.

30 years of right wing nonsense has equated wealth with the value of human beings with the end result being a financial disaster for the country. It is not only an immoral philosophy, it is a stupid one.

I wish people would just WAKE THE HELL UP.
