(There are too many pretenders out there who claim to be fiscally conservative and constantly bemoan over federal government always getting bigger and bigger, and constantly over-spending... yet who always refuse to support the strong medicine that would be necessary to fix the problem: an amendment to our constitution.... :-( Since there are many states out there that appear to get by just fine within the constraints of their own State constitutions which require balanced budgets... all I can guess is that these folks who refuse to support a federal amendment must not really be very 'fiscally conservative', or else they have their own pet federal bureaucracies that they want to protect....
