Agreed.

From my point-of-view you seem pretty firmly unwilling to support the one long-term STRUCTURAL change (Balanced Budget Amendment) that has the best chance of reining in the chronic flood of federal red ink and, again IMO... you have failed to put forward any alternative suggestion with even a prayer of achieving such necessary long-term success, (other then perhaps 'voting for good people', if I might be granted the liberty of paraphrasing.)

However, if you ever have any other proposals to put forward for consideration --- because I'm so very vested in solving this problem, by reason of my love for my country, and despair at the straights it has allowed itself to fall into --- I would always certainly be interested in hearing the ideas.

But, IMO, LARGE PERVASIVE and CHRONIC problems such as this require fundamental fixes... not merely dancing around the edges....
