Obama's mistake was playing both sides of the street imo: Trinity United in Chicago, post-racial healer in the national campaign. You can't do that these days. Pols get leeway for fine-tuning their message, not for doing a 180 on it.

Juan Williams is saying right now on talk radio that Rev. Wright implies that there is one secret Obama who confers with him (Wright), and another public Obama who announces for Prez with Sen. Durbin at his side. Wright in the basement, Durbin up on the podium.

"Is this a bait and switch operation, or what?"
