I think we should try to figure out how many steps it takes to link Obama to Kevin Bacon. Since Barack hasn't been in any movies, we'll have to choose a different metric of association. I propose having his picture taken with someone. But maybe just appearing on the same television show. Wait, that's it.

Barack was on the Daily Show, with Jon Stewart.

Stewart was in Death to Smoochy with Robin Williams (this seems promising)

Williams was in ... well, he was in a lot of things, so it ought to be pretty easy to get from him to Bacon. Does anyone want to step in here?

[edit] OK, I have it. Williams was in Mrs. Doubtfire with Sally Field

Field was in Steel Magnolias with Julia Roberts

Roberts was in Flatliners with Kevin Bacon.

That's six. It's probably possible to do it in fewer steps.
