I don't know how you have a reasonable conversation with the part of America that Buchanan represents. I have been hearing similar sentiments from the more conservative side of my family. The only thing that surprises me is that someone as prominent as Buchanan going public with these comments. There are two sides of America....and one is 50 years behind the other........and they like it that way. Fuck Buchanan. Thats disgusting. The fact that there have been americans of good will along the way doesnt give anyone the right to praise slavery, jim crowe and welfare for blacks. Buchanan as smart as he is on politics is a neanderthal. He is the same guy who said jews werent gassed at the camps. Now slavery is a piece of cake.
