>>Rev. wright yesterday made no secret of his opposition for Obama<<

I don't get the problem. If Obama doesn't see a blue state America and a red state America, "I see the United States of America", isn't it a net advantage for him if Wright is his opposition?

Wright made Obama's point yesterday, that there is a generational difference. There are some like Wright who are angry about the past and want an apology, or whatever. Does it further Wright's goals to make that an issue now, or ever?

How would such an apology fit into world politics? It would undercut it, so Obama will not support it or initiate it. It may or may not happen in the U.S. If there's a widespread call for it, it will be considered. It doesn't come close to the issues that most Americans care about and that affect their lives today and in the years ahead.

Wright also, inadvertently, made Obama's point that out of bitterness some people cling to the past, to religion, to areas of their lives that they are familiar with.
