For me, this kerflfuffle doesn't rise to the level of being worth spending time to form detailed views. It's too ridiculous and detached from what our national elections should be about.

As Karen's quote aptly summed up, the country is acting like small people dwelling on small things. That we do this while big issues are burning down around our ears is both fascinating and repugnant at the same time.

But we seem to love our fears and divisions more than trying to overcome them. Rove must be a happy man; his campaign style has now become the dominant paradigm, perhaps for decades to come.

Sad, isn't it?
