My argument with dave is on the history that buchanan treats in a racist way,

I'm sorry, but there was nothing in Buchanan's remarks that could reasonably be construed as racist.

Just because someone believes that blacks have had a lot of benefits from living in the US over the last 30 years does NOT make that person a racist.

This is the attitude that many people are sick of -- kind of the OJ version of racism -- that is, any remarks that point out that blacks are committing the crimes, that blacks are the heart of the welfare state, any of these things that are absolutely, indisputably true -- and you pull out the racist claim.

Yet, when a clearly racist Rev. Wright starts spewing true hate speech, everyone wants to give him a pass.

It is a horrible double stadard that discriminates against whites, in fact, against everyone who isn't black.

If you watch the First 48 (which I do religiously) what you notice right away is that the people doing the killing are young black males. You cannot get away from this fact -- that these people have no respect for human life. So, if Buchanan wants to point this absolute fact, I'm not sure how you can criticize the man for it.

I don't believe he has a racist bone in his body.
