In an earlier conference call, Mckibben and Strickland mentioned that they were in discussion with with some investment groups to help pay down the Hillside debt and take care of the payment that was past due. This was before Ampex declared Chapter 11 bk and shortly after Strickland replaced Bramson. Someone called and asked why no one from Ampex called his group to ask if they were interested in working some sort of financial arrangement to address the Hillside debt. I don't remember all the details but I recalled that Mckibben acted very surprised at the question because it came from one of the major funds that have a major stake in Ampex. I also recall that Mckibben gave a reply that was very puzzling. Does anyone remember Mckibben's reply and who asked McKibben that question?
