I don't have a problem with Westel since they said they would use the MOT chipset "AMTX-DMT". Each modem pair sold by WSTL will aid AMTX. I think that many different vendors will be making the ADSL modems in the next 2 years and each will have either DMT or CAP (or both???) in the HOME modem. Some say only CAP .... some say only DMT. I believe the DSLAM unit will have both DMT and CAP in them. I believe WSTL has the DSLAM Central Office unit that will be needed to drive the price down on a per line bases. That good for all ADSL vendors. WSTL's success does not rain on AMTX's parade.
