If I were him, I would have put more passion into it also. He has a wonky professorial side when he is at a podium in a smaller room that he needs to learn how to switch off.

One of his rookie mistakes, but not a biggie.

Unlike other candidates, Obama isn't known for huffing and puffing and swearing at people when he isn't happy with them. That's one of the main reasons I think he can get a lot of different people in the same room and use the power of the presidency to try to cut deals on important issues.

But he is not proven in that regard so it is just my hope and supposition.
