But the tragedy of it is that this is what this country has become. We care more for tabloid junk news and issues than for the issues that matter like fixing social security, becoming oil independent, and balancing our budget.
Coverage of Anna Nicole Smith is tabloid junk news.
But at a time when America is engaged in the fight of its life against radical Islam, this problem with Wright is real, and big, and important. When a potential democratic nominee has associated with an anti-American who is a terrorist sympathizer, while we are engaged in a war on terrorism, it is a big deal. You may not think so, but it is only because you don't comprehend what is at stake. When an event such as this occurs, it diminishes the importance of our war effort, which enhances the position of radical Islam against us.
Nevermind that you and the Left don't understand it is an important fight. Those who do comprehend what's going on "get" the connection. You really would do yourself a favor to read up on this subject because it is apparent you are not very well informed about the jihad against us, or about the fight against Islamofascism.
I think the worst thing that has happened during the Bush administration is the intertwining of religion with politics. Religion has absolutely no place in politics.
There is no more intertwining of religion and politics now than there was under Clinton, Bush41, Reagan, or Carter.
But if we're going to curse Obama for being associated with Wright, then we'd better be evenhanded about it and curse McCain for Hagee. Anything less is simply unfettered bias.
I'm not going to keep going over this same point with you. There is absolutely no analogy. It couldn't be further removed.
Here's a hint: The liberal news media has not given a moment's notice to Hagee because the relationship is in no way similar.
This is not a difficult concept to understand. For some reason, you still don't seem to get it. If anyone besides you and the other extremist liberals on this thread believed there was an issue here, they would be all over McCain over it. It is not an issue. At all. |
