Are you? But that's not the point. The point is why do I deserve to pay $3K per year when others have to pay $12K per year. The deck is stacked against poor people in this country.

My wife and I pay about $15,000/year for health insurance for the two of us. Both are high deductible policies. To us, it is a significant amount of money.

But this is something we deal with as a result of not being covered under a group plan at work. That's life. Group insurance is cheaper than buying policies on your own.

I have no idea what your circumstances are versus mine. However, I'm free to go make the best deal I can make for myself, and you are free to do the same. I don't see the problem.

It seems to me you're shocked at the cost of health care. Well, that's what it costs to have the best.

Most importantly, you have to remember that almost everyone in the country who wants it has health insurance. Over 90%. I think it would be great if we could provide coverage for the other 10%, and I think we could, IF the liberals would get off of this nonsense of socialized medicine, which most of us are opposed to.
