Good points...Bill Clinton and John Kerry never ran in the YouTube age where misinformation travels quickly on the Internet...Yet, the truth circulates fast too...When Bill Clinton ran there were no blogs and most of what people learned about Clinton was from "traditional media sources"...for the most part that was still true for many voters in 2004 when Kerry ran...In 2008, we all live in a very different world -- who would have thought that Obama would have a database of well over a million active supporters and donors...? Obama has taken social networking in a presidential campaign to a place where few thought it may ever go...Yet, there is a tremendous amount of misinformation and disinformation circulating in emails and out on blogs...We'll see how things play out this year.
