JER Announces First Commercial Sheet Order With Safeguard Products

VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 29, 2008 -- JER Envirotech International Corp. (CDNX:JER.V - News) (Frankfurt:KFTB.F - News) is pleased to announce that the first commercial sheet order for wood polymer sheeting has been received from Safeguard Products, a division of VAL-CO, located in New Holland, PA.
Safeguard is a leading manufacturer of small animal pet homes and non-lethal box traps for control of nuisance wildlife. Their products are sold through wholesale distributors in the pet, farm and feed, home and garden, and hardware channels. Safeguard Products is a privately held company under the corporate umbrella of VAL Companies (VAL-CO). VAL-CO consists of manufacturers: Safeguard Products, Val Products, Beacon Sales, PAX Steel and RayDot. The VAL-CO group forms a full product line for watering, feeding, feed delivery, nesting, cooling, heating, ventilation, and the automation of whole cage house systems. VAL-CO operates several plants around the world to serve international markets.
JERtech sheeting resists moisture and rot. It is an environmentally safe, "green" product with applications in flooring, door skins and container liners. With the receipt of this first purchase order, JER and Safeguard will complete the development of their Cage Free Nest products for chicken farms. The Cage Free Nest design utilizes JERtech sheeting in a custom designed dark brown color to provide roosting birds safe and secure nesting sites for egg laying. This initial order requires delivery of sheet to Safeguard's assembly operations by mid May in order to start the build of Cage Free Nests for domestic and international customers. Based on initial projections, JER anticipates supplying Safeguard with thermoplastic biocomposite sheeting at a rate of 14,000 - 20,000 JERtech sheets per year.
