We have had a vivid lesson in how a minority president manipulates his message to get across the 50.x% threshold then turns the office to helping his base and little else. That approach won't solve the broad problems we face, not from the right or the left. Voters have to decide if they want a president who fights for their base of supporters above all, or looks to finding new ways to bring people together. We won't get there if someone doesn't try.
