I think Bush is history and nobody now cares what he does. People wonder what McCain and Obama will do.

I am a little concerned by the handout approach that the Congress and the Govt. has embarked on. This handout approach is being supported by McCain and Hillary when they support a gasoline tax holiday during summer. There are several reasons for my concern:

1. We need to cut down our bill on Iraq. If we have to keep troops there, then Iraq needs to pay us. They are sitting on their butt, selling their oil and the revenues are going into furthering corruption amongst Iraqi officials.

2. Reducing the gas tax during summer is like encouraging folks to drive their cars for recreational purposes. Instead they should leave it to the markets to decide. If they want to really spur the economy, they should give the tax breaks during winter where people would drive to their work and unlike in summer where they would drive to their campgrounds instead of work.
