Chile Copper Output Falls 8.4% in March to 459,578 Metric Tons 2008-04-30 09:07 (New York)

April 30 (Bloomberg) -- Chile, the world's biggest copper producer, said its output of the metal fell 8.4 percent in March from a year earlier.
Production fell to 459,578 metric tons from 501,990 tons in March 2007, the state-run national statistics institute said today in a report distributed in Santiago.
