Jamie, Benjamin, Wats, and all other long-suffering DAK shareholders:

I called the company a few minutes ago and spoke with Richard about DAK's current activities. I learned the following:

1.) The gravel properties are on the back burner for now.
2.) DAK is working out final details in an agreement with an oil and gas related company (Seismic?).
3.) Richard believes that the company could begin earning about 6 cents/sh if deal goes through.
4.) There is high probbility of a news release before the end of October. I didn't press him on this and offered the end of the month as MY arbitrary time frame. (I would have to guess news in the next week or after month's end, then.)
6.) The company has a second iron in the fire related to the "environment" in some way.
7.) Richard is expecting the stock to rise to the 40-50 cent range when the petro deal is wrapped up.
8.) When I suggested a 60 cent share price based on a 10:1 P/E, he didn't want to be this bold due to the "supply overhang" that must be chewed through and the "bad market." (Personally I think things are starting to crackle in Western Canada, now.)
9.) The company sees no Mexican gold exploration and mining in its future.

All in all, sounds consistent with what has been posted here recently. Hopefully we're just that much closer to higher prices. (Sure doesn't sound like what I was posting a year ago. But hey...they're still alive!) I felt positive about what Richard told me.
