OT - I think everyone has friends and family that they love/respect, but may disagree with on significant pts. Because the church and patriotism is involved it's somehow a bigger issue. It should be somewhat of a non-issue imho. People that say the Wright thing is a big issue probably weren't going to vote for Obama regardless. They were just looking for an excuse not to vote for the black guy. Much of this country is still very racist, but it's under the surface. People found out Obama wasn't perfect - surprise.. Not going to let black america off the hook either. There's plenty of racism there against hispanics and whites as well. I still think Obama can win and he's my current favorite, but I don't pretend that anyone who's elected is going to take the country in a dramatic new direction. We're basically arguing over what color paint we'd like on the walls as the house burns down. Until we get rid of this two party-no-choice system it'll be status quo. Nobody is making any hard decisions regarding energy, immigration, entitlements, the war machine, Iran, Iraq, etc.
