Let's assume optimistically that Obama is different and that he understands our most pressing issues. Even if the house/senate go along the public is woefully ignorant on most issues and thus will not support any hard choices. Hell, 13% still think he's muslim. People complain about politics all the time, but the old adage is more than apt here - you get the politicians you deserve. Yes the system is corrupt, but we still put Bush into office....twice. Enough said.
