Sure, I can. In business, we negotiate the best deal all the time. It's what makes the market dynamic. Those who are suppliers of a good try negotiate a high price and those that are consumers of a good or service try to negotiate a low price. That is what makes a market.

Now suppliers of goods and services also try to become as efficient as possible to drive their costs down. That results in extra profits for them. If they are really smart, then they'll pass some of those profits on as price discounts to their customers, which will increase their market share.

I don't know why you don't get this, but that is how a market works. What we've effectively done with the health care industry is allowed them to drive prices unsustainably high, by limiting consumers' ability to collectively bargain. In addition, we've given them a pass at cost containment.

The sign of a healthy industry is one that continuously improves their cost structure while improving the service they sell. The Healthcare industry has been subpar at this, in large part due to stupid gov't policies.

It is clear that you only have a passing ability to understand economic principals, and thus, you hide behind snide dismissive comments. Good luck with that. You only make things more difficult on yourself, ensuring you continue to pay $15K for healthcare, when you could be paying much less for the equivalent healthcare if the healthcare industry was functioning properly and our gov't had the appropriate policies to drive the right incentives.
