I wasn't aware of that. Earlier reports didn't offer that. That may be so folks don't freak out at the change.

The original premise was to offer a tax credit and get the employers out of the health payment business. You would get a tax credit plus a raise. If the employer doesn't have to pay for your insurance, then you get the difference in your paycheck. It only makes sense that that still stands, in which case it could be very attractive to employees. They could buy a $5000 policy, put some of their raise into an HSA, and spend or save the rest.

That's off the top of my head first thing in the morning... <g>
