Assuming that the Strine decision is basically a draw, would Nokia turn down a deal with Q that gave a 2.5-3% royalty rate and forgiveness for the 7 quarters (April '07 through Dec '08) of missed royalty payments? .

Depends on what is a draw. If its a draw; i see Nok not turning down a deal under the present license terms. And paying interest from April'07 thru 12/08. Qcom has other very viable options where they will get Brcm type returns. The silver lining in the brcm win is 6% for non-essential patents. ihavenoidea
