westpacific; THE FED cannot afford DEFLATION in face of all this debt! Will deflation finally hit what Americans have to have though? Energy, health care and food? Weather is causing fears that corn crop will be hit this year as they are unable to get seed in the ground. Think through the consequences of a poor corn crop! People don't have to go out and buy big screen TV's or gold or new homes - but they do have to heat their homes, drive to work, feed their kids, pay to have their broken leg fixed and pay their taxes. Deflation for crap we don't HAVE to have and inflation on those things we have no choice but to buy. steve
