You are aware you have asked about this isolated incident in 1947 on multiple occasions and I have answered in each situation that yes, I was aware?
You are aware that according to the CIA the number of times waterboarding has been used could be counted on one hand and it was applied to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Abu Zubaydah and Abd ad-Rahim al-Nashirir, all at times when the CIA had reason to believe that additional catastrophic attacks against the United States were likely and when the CIA had limited knowledge about AQ? You ARE aware that all three of these people were known terrorists who just as easily could have been shot dead instead of allowed to live, and had it not been for the expectation of collecting information from them, they likely would have? You are aware, that in effect, waterboarding saved these individual's lives? You are aware of that, right?
You are aware that no laws were broken in doing so? You are aware that at the time the technique was not considered as torture?
You are aware that these limited applications of waterboarding have saved American lives according to the CIA? You are aware that waterboarding, regardless of what it was called in '47, is normally a harmless technique that is extremely effective? You are aware of that, right?
You are aware that you have used this condescending language multiple times pointing out this same fact and that I have responded, "Yes, I am aware of that incident". It was, literally, an incident, in 1947. And it has absolutely ZERO relationship to the post you're responding to. |
