Leonard Cohen's okay. A little dark, but a good poet, too much ahead of his time. If he had been born 15 years later he might have given Bob Dylan a run for his money. I give him credit for writing grown up lyrics. Kind of like how I give Lenny Bruce credit, without really being a fan of either.

I've got a Gordon Lightfoot CD I listen to once every few years, typically on a road trip. He's also okay, although I have to agree with the songs all sounding the same after a while.
