TRAN: Jesus H. Christ, can *anyone* give me any idea how this is happening?!? I humbly covered a bunch of TRAN shorts a few months back, so it's not hurting me too badly - but how the FVCK can we be knee-deep in the worst downturn in decades, oil well over $100/bbl, corporate bond yields rising (the *real* yardstick for PE ratios), and yet TRAN is knocking on the door of all-time highs?!?
If that isn't the poster child for the insanity of the present situation, I don't know what could possibly outdo it.
For the most part, these are captive companies, with most of their sales denominated in the domestic U.S. dollar, and expenses priced in oil. It just boggles my mind that these are running. Pathologically "irrational" just doesn't do it justice. Psychotic? Moronic? Lunatic? Or just plain fvcked...
