wouldn't be surprise either, considering that Kim Edwards has been talking about that as a goal for more than a year. This guy is really on top of things, eh? There's a difference between lowering the drive price to $99 because you're selling lots of disks vs. lowering the drive price to $99 because competition may eat into your market share. The person quoted in the article clearly was referring to the latter possibility, not the former.
