AVNT: the reason Asensio's negative tone is 3 fold (IMHO): 1)he "firmly" believes that AVNT is guilty of stealing CDN code, 2)he has in the past disclosed that he is or may be short AVNT's stock, and 3)his report was "picked-up" by the PR Newswire (a "news service" that is fee for service, ie. he paid PRN to carry his report. You and I could release our research on AVNT, CDN, or any other company on PRN if we were willing to pay them). If you were short the stock, you would issue the most negative report you could. Wouldn't you?
Be careful not to believe everything that you read, whether its PR from AVNT or CDN, PRN releases from Asensio, or SI messages from Bill Wexler, Tonto, or Me. |
