I ten. The definition of centrist is based on the bell curve. If you fall within what 67% of Americans believe, then you are a centrist. Right now, a very large majority of Americans want out of Iraq, 63% the last time I saw a count. I do too. That makes me a centrist on that issue. I think Bush is the horrible. 70% of Americans do too. Centrist. I want a real energy policy that gets us to oil independence. Again a majority of Americans want that. Centrist.

The neo-con views are by definition extremist because they no longer represent a majority of Americans. The copout is using the term liberal to paint everyone with a broad brush. The fact is that most people are a mix of liberal and conservative depending on the issue. I've been a lifelong Republican until recently, so to call me liberal is just silly. But that what people do when they have run out of good arguments and must resort to labeling others to feel good about themselves.
