Good post. I added a reco. I guess the crux in this entire matter for me is why has Tibet metamorphosed into such a pressing issue at this time. It seems all too convenient. There are many more pressing, likely more dire situations in the world today.

Seems many in the world suddenly want to hold up China to a higher standard than they expect, demand or receive from their own countries.

Understandably one has to pick their battles but the timing is suspect to my eye. The silence on so many other things is deafening.
