i wrote a few weeks ago that i read an article of an economist measuring our inflation simply using the pre-Reagan formula for inflation we were then at 8.5% annualized(it would have been for beginning of this year). And since Reagan they have taken further steps to hide the real inflation from the people. The initial motive was to screw people on Social Security.
