but it won't "fix" anything. Indeed. But that leaves the question of what else is there to fix it. You have side A that is replete with grievances, some "quite justifiable" and some "not so much." Side A feels the pain of the real ones, which seems to generate more "not so muchers." Side B looks at the list and sees mostly the "not so much" segment and thinks side A is nuts. How do you fix that? My argument has always been that it's up to side A to differentiate and to actively constrain its list to the real ones. Adding filler is counter-productive. While it may seem unfair to make side A bear that burden after its history of burdens, I simply don't see any other workable alternative. And somebody needs to be the adult here. It seems to me that the recent leadership has, like most interest groups, exaggerated rather than differentiate. That's why I dislike that leadership so much. Not only not constructive, they are hurting IMO the very people they are charged with advancing by producing a backlash.
