ISSI is basically announcing a product that will compete against ISD who makes voice recording/playback chips based on EEPROM technology. ISD was growing to around $50M+ and then seemed to hit a bump in the road, check them out if you want to see the potential (they have a pretty good web page with pictures of customers they have won). The main difference is that ISD can do both playback and RECORD which means they can serve a wider market. The prices of the product look about the same.
