My understanding is that the Sub prime loan crisis is the major single contributing factor for the rise in oil prices.

I wonder why Bush has not used the reserves to temper oil prices or to at least use it for Iraq. I guess it the military complex together with the oil lobby ruling the roost. Or else how do you explain the boom in TX.
