5/2/08 update
Either Wall Street Bears are suffering an internal clock malfunction and have gone into early hibernation or they're just taking a long nap. In any case, the Bulls were in charge for another week and the Nasdaq Composite Index managed to cut its YTD loss from down -8.65% YTD a week ago to down -6.61% YTD at Friday's close. The Nasdaq Biotech Index also cut its YTD loss, from down -3.51% YTD a week ago to down -2.44% YTD at Friday's close. But the median of the Contest portfolios did not fare as well, increasing its YTD loss from down -7.52% YTD the prior Friday to down -8.92% YTD at this week's end.
At Friday's close, 9 of the 33 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD with 10 of the portfolios beating the NBI. ROBERT's portfolio held on to first place with a 22.2% YTD gain and GENE's portfolio was in second place with a 18.1% YTD gain.
Have a great weekend folks!
