Thanks for the insights. My new puter will have Core 2 Dual also so hope it will help. Until something better comes along most of us old time users are stuck with Quicken. I have over 10 years of history in the data file that would be inconvenient to lose. May be one of the reasons it has slowed down. Too much useless bloatware in Q. I am using 2008 H&B. Not that I need the biz functions, but there were added investment features and Costco had a good price on it. I am hoping 2 mg of ram in the new box will help. BTW, I stayed with XP Pro.

Anybody have a sure method of transferring QData files to a new computer. I have everything backed up to an external drive and was thinking I could do a backup from it???
